The room we had was compact but newly decorated and perfectly comfortable. The hotel had good facilities and offered a very adequate breakfast buffet. We were able to walk easily into the centre of the altstadt.

Walking distance to a train station, very handy. Silent room and clean bathroom, large breakfast. Breakfast with ham, sausage & bacon, a lavish assortment of bread.

I had a wonderful stay at a hotel in the charming city of Marburg. The design of the hotel was unique and the service was incredibly friendly. My junior suite was spacious and impeccably clean, and I loved the balcony with its beautiful view of the wooded area. The breakfast buffet included with the room was excellent, with delicious food and helpful servers. The location of the hotel was convenient for shopping and exploring the Oberstadt. I would highly recommend this hotel for an authentic German experience in Marburg.

We chose this hotel due to its ideal location, between the railway station, my daughters flat and the beautiful old town area. Whilst not in the prettiest area of town, the Marburger Hof itself is very elegant, peaceful, and clean, and the staff are polite and efficient.
The only things I could find fault with were the lack of a kettle and tea tray in the Comfort rooms, and it would have been nice to have air conditioning or some kind of ventilation as it was very warm and got noisy if the window was open.

the rooms are huge and comfortably furnished and complete with spacious bathrooms, the vintage 70's decor, for instance. the staff are very helpful as well as the owner. the breakfast is large with sausage and the cool pancake making machine, as for instance, lots to choose from. thank you for such a really nice stay for one night.

We had a little trouble finding the secure car park at first, but once we did, the hotel provided a safe place for our vehicle. The ambience and comfort of Marburger Hof were really good, and the staff were attentive. We felt well taken care of.

All our remarks are with respect to high price room. We don't know if they apply to cheaper as they are located In an older part of the hotel
At this price we would expect free Internet to be included especially as all tv canells were German

I enjoyed the tea and fresh fruit that was available 24 hours a day. Real cups & saucers, not disposables, enhanced the tea breaks. The breakfast was great as well. Cloth tablecloths, an elegant setting, and friendly staff made the breakfast a good way to start the day.
Bathroom is compact by American standards.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. the location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city but tucked away on a quiet one-way street. It was so easy to explore the beautiful old town and take leisurely walks along the riverside. Secondly, the staff were absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay, always attentive and friendly. Lastly, the rooms were newly renovated and impeccably clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the spacious bathrooms with walk-in power showers were a real treat. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the delicious breakfast spread they had every morning!
Everything was ok, no complaints here.

The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet was one of the best ones we've seen. There was a nice variety and the lattes/capps were delicious (just request one when they ask for your room number when you are seated at breakfast). The location of the hotel is superb. You can easily walk to the old town, which also puts you at a good start for the castle. The University is a bit of a longer hike, but still doable. Also, there is a cafe across from the Elisabeth church with Elisabeth in its name that has wonderful, dry white wines and friendly service.
The hotel is located on a one-way street, with parking on the opposite turn from the hotel (just the way the street is laid out, the parking and hotel are connected). Looping around for a second (third, or fourth) try is not that difficult. My husband ended up dropping me off at the entrance, looping around, and picking me up again to loop once more for parking (once we were checked in).

The double room had super comfy beds, a terrace, and double glazed windows for keeping it quiet. 😊 the breakfasts were really good and plentiful, and the service was top-notch.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable I left a book there, and the staff were very accommodating in sending it back to the U.S. This was fine for a stay in Marburg, and we would definitely recommend it.
Only downside was that to get to our room on the third floor, you had to take the elevator to the second floor, get off, walk to a wing of the building, and then take an elevator to the third floor.

I appreciated the free tea making facilities in trhe foyer.
The receptionist behind the desk was unfriendly compared to the other hotels we stayed in and our room was small and stuffy and a bit smelly. It was also a long way to walk to the reception.
